A little collage for for Illustration Friday. I love to mix patterns and more so, if they're colourful. The days are so grey around here that I'm very happy to have colours around me :)

Dinosaur week

It's dinosaur week at the daily doodle group. I'll post here all the dinasours I'll be doing :)

Monday

Little T-rex is going to a fancy party

Tuesday

Today I felt like working with collage. I feel that I need to relax my eyes from the computer screen from time to time and doing collage is the perfect way to do that.

Wednesday
Here's a couple of dinosaurs on a date

Thursday
This dinosaur is very sad because his friends stood him up.

Collage fun

Lately I've been working so much in front of the computer that I feel that I need to take a brake from the screen from time to time.  Working with paper is really good fun because there're so many textures and colours to choose from.

Here're 2 illustrations I did for the doodle group in twitter.

Cake

Here, have some cake! Hope you don't mind having cat hair in your piece :). I did this piece for Daily Doodle.

Illustration Friday- Retro

I saw a picture of a cat sleeping inside a tv on pinterest, so there's where I got my idea for today's illustration. This one was made with collage and coloured pencils.

The Great Big Stitched Postcard Swap

I signed up for the postcard swap after seeing the beautiful postcards people had designed in the past. Plus I really love receiving post!

The theme for the postcard was CREATE, so I sketched this little bear and created a comfy world for him to sit on.

I don't have much experience sewing, so I decided to use paper collage, colour pens and glitter  because I wanted to have textures in my design. Still I had to incorporate some sewing into the postcard so I sewed the bear's face and the little heart on his chest.

This is the result! I'm quite happy with it and I hope my postcard- swap partner likes it too :)

I also designed an envelope for the postcard using origami paper and washi tape.
Today my postcard will go flying to the USA.

Illustration Friday - Prehistoric

Here's a tyrannosaurus who loves very much its teddy bear. I've never before taken an interest in dinosaurs, but now I quite like drawing them. It was fun to imagine they could be cute as well as ferocious. What is your take on dinosaurs?
