Who wouldn't want to kiss this charming prince? Besides his good looks he owns his own palace, he has a formidable sized swamp where you can take luxury baths and where there's plenty of flies to eat all year round.

I'm loving working on this round of Animal Alphabets (an illustration challenge on twitter #animalaphabets). Fairy tales are such a fun topic to illustrate and I also like reading the stories again and again. My favourite stories happen in the forest and have an element of kindness to them.  What are your favourite fairy tales?

It's Friday and it means it's colour collective time. This week's colour is May Green. I must admit I had a little bit of a mental block before doing this illustration but I kept on sketching and doodling until an idea came to my mind. Have a great weekend everyone!

Bye bye October

I've decided to open a Youtube channel where I hope to share a little bit of my life as a freelance illustrator, what it's like living in HK, travelling and speed-painting videos, maybe tutorials?... I don't know, I'm not sure about the content yet because I had the idea while having insomnia + migraine + jetlag so I'm trying to figure things out. Many people have asked me about my painting process so my first video is of speed-painting the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz for Animal Alphabets. Hope you like it and I'll try share another video soon!

I can't stop thinking about bears so here's another one for colour collective :) ... and I just discovered that some horses have spots, like cows! 

New painting challenge

I've decided to start my own painting challenge with the hashtag #10daysofacrylics. I know there're lots of challenges out there but I'm not strong enough to do something for more than 10 days, let alone 365! I'm dusting off my acrylic paints and experimenting with colours and textures. So far the end results have been a little unexpected but in a fun way. Snow forest

Here's my design for this week's colour collective. I'm trying to use different colour palettes in my illustrations but it's difficult to break old habits! I'll try to keep on working on that. Have a nice weekend :)

Hot air balloons

Happy Friday everyone! It's colour collective time and this week's colour is Orange and it inspired me to create this colourful piece :)  

Rabbit in the snow

White rabbits everyone (that's what you say at the beginning of the month in England, I've been told)! It's funny that in many countries with seasons September marks the start of autumn but here in HK, we only have 2 seasons: extremely hot and a little bit chilly. Even though many shops are selling coats, scarfs,  boots, etc the temperature here will be around 30 degrees until December. I miss having snow, even if only for a little while (2 weeks of white thick snow would be perfect and then sunshine please). So that's my inspiration for this month's Pinch Punch Post.
