Today we celebrate the día de las velitas (day of the candles) in Colombia. At night time everybody will be lighting up candles and paper lanterns and having fun. I remember walking down my old neighbourhood and seeing all the colourful candles in front of every house, that's a picture I'd like to remember forever.

Do you get/give many presents at Christmas? I love buying presents for my friends and family - it's actually one of my favourite things to do - I also receive quite a few presents, mostly cats and art related. But without a doubt, giving is what gives me the most happiness!

Illustration Friday - Refrain

My favourite season of the year has to be spring because it's not too cold nor to hot, the days are longer and the colours return to the landscape in the shape of flowers and animals. I know it's winter time in many countries so I hope my illustration brings some colour to your day.

In my home country -Colombia - we don't have Advent Calendars, unfortunately. It's such a good idea to have a countdown to Christmas and to have a chocolate while counting.
