Piggy
Here's a little piggy I drew just for fun. I've been feeling so tired lately that even the most enjoyable activities seem so difficult.... *sighs* I shall use all my inner strength to keep on drawing because I really, really, REALLY want to illustrate children's books!

Japan
For the easter break I went to Japan. I chose to go in april hoping to see the cherry blossom. I was told by many friends that I was going to miss it because it usually happens at the beginning of the month, so I didn't have high expectations about seeing the trees but nonetheless was very excited about seeing all the kawaii things!
Here's a collection of pictures showing some of the beautiful and cute things I saw, including some cherry trees in full blossom and of course animals - I went to both cat and bunny cafés-.
I highly recommend visiting Japan even if only once. I have already added it to my list of favourite places and I hope to return in the near future.

Illustration Friday - Survival
This week I chose to draw rhinos because they're not having a good time these days. They're highly endangered because they're being poached for their horns which are being used in traditional medicine in Asia. I like and respect cultural traditions celebrated in different countries but I think what's happening with the rhinos - and white sharks- is bad and should be stopped.
Anyway, I hope the rhinos can survive and wear party hats on their horns and be happy - and maybe some nail polish too-

Illustration Friday- Red
I've been meaning to draw an animal riding a bicycle for a veery long time, so I finally did it! It wasn't as scary as I thought it'd be :) and I'm trying to diversify the animals I draw. This week is a happy and friendly crocodile riding his red bicycle through the countryside.

Illustration Friday - Spark
A little late for this week's submission but here's a fox enjoying the stars sparkle. I really like looking at the stars, so at the moment I'm trying to learn about the constellations, the planets, etc. There's a lot of information about it and there're lots of names that are difficult to remember but hopefully I'll be able to recognise some constellations soon! - well, as soon as the sky is clear enough to see anything up there -

The Great Big Stitched Postcard Swap
I signed up for the postcard swap after seeing the beautiful postcards people had designed in the past. Plus I really love receiving post!
The theme for the postcard was CREATE, so I sketched this little bear and created a comfy world for him to sit on.
I don't have much experience sewing, so I decided to use paper collage, colour pens and glitter because I wanted to have textures in my design. Still I had to incorporate some sewing into the postcard so I sewed the bear's face and the little heart on his chest.
This is the result! I'm quite happy with it and I hope my postcard- swap partner likes it too :)
I also designed an envelope for the postcard using origami paper and washi tape.
Today my postcard will go flying to the USA.

Illustration Friday - Voice
Here's my illustration for this week's theme -voice- which I quite liked. I've been pushing myself to create scenes with backgrounds and some action taking place. Hope you like this illustration of a very talented raccoon singing!
